HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It's been a busy month with the lead up to Christmas. Did very well selling through notonthehighstreet and actually sold out of the bunny houses a couple of weeks before Christmas! Must make note to have plenty in stock for xmas 2010!! It's been an interesting first Christmas in retail for me and realising how much businesses depend on their Christmas sales.

Even though xmas seems ages ago we are still in the midst of a winter wonderland. Looks so beautiful but makes getting out of the house with 2 young children quite a task...hats, gloves, wellies, scarfs...Looking forward to the summer already. I know it's a long wait though :(

In the next couple of weeks I should hopefully have my own website up and running at www.thefairground.co.uk. It's been a work in progress for a couple of months so am looking forward to it's launch!

Well, here's wishing everyone a very happy and fulfilling 2010! xx

First Market Stall on The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells

The Fairground had it's first market stall at The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells! Friday evening was spent getting The Fairground's lovely toys, bunting, cushions and Pyjamas ready to display at the market. Woke up bright and early excited about the day ahead only to open the curtains and see the unfortunate rain!! All week we've had lovely sunny weather...why does it have to rain today?!! As the market is outdoors we all depend on the weather for it's success. Luckily the rain did stop and the day turned out to be enjoyable. Annabel and Oliver came over and 'helped' out for a little bit! In the photo of Oliver and I behind the stall you will also spot Annabel peeking out near the cushion! I added a close up too of Annabel helping out.

Again The Fairground's bunny house was the best seller! Besides the pink Gingham bunny house and the polka dot toadstool one we now also stock a blue bunny house due to several people requesting one for the boys! Bunting and children's pyjamas sold well too.

Market finished at 5pm then rushed home and got kids dressed up for Halloween and had a great time treat or treating around our neighbourhood before heading back to our friends house for a party. This was Oliver's first year trick or treating and he got the hang of it pretty quick! knock on a door and get sweeties handed to you....must have thought he was dreaming!

Country walks in Tunbridge Wells

The Fairground Bunny House

When our house is suddenly very quiet it is often because Annabel is either being secretly naughty (and is very quiet so she doesn't get caught!) doing things like drawing over freshly painted walls, eating a whole packet of chocolate biscuits she has found but sometimes on the rare occassion she's just so engrossed in her imaginary play...this was one of those moments and I was lucky enough to have the camera close by to get a sweet photo of her quietly playing with the fairground's bunny house.

The Fairground Bunny House which comes with a family of four rabbits has been a huge hit with my daughter. They will soon be available for sale through the well regarded website, www.notonthehighstreet.co.uk

Hollyhocks and roses

I love the colour of these hollyhocks and roses in the garden.

A novice to blogging

So far so good! Set up my new blog in a couple of minutes through Google. I guess that's the easy bit! Now just have to figure the rest out!

Kids have just had their breakfast and are now dancing around to Johnny Cash! For some reason my 4 year daughter, Annabel loves his music...what can I say she's got good taste! It's a beautiful day so will be heading out for a nice long family walk. Must make the most of these last few summer days. Can feel a slight change in the morning air with autumn fast approaching.

Just checked the time and it's only 9:15am AND we've been up for 2.5 hours AND it's a Saturday!! Weekend lie ins are a sweet distant memory...
